The 450 gram Rhino® Wug Turnout with Vari-Layer delivers heavyweight warmth without the bulk, combining smart design with serious durability. Built on a tough 1000D polypropylene outer, substantially stronger than standard polyester, it protects a unique waterproof and breathable barrier, backed by Horseware’s three-year guarantee for lasting peace of mind. Inside, 450g of premium thermobonded fiberfill is layered using Vari-Layer  technology to maximize heat retention while keeping the blanket lighter and more comfortable for your horse. A shine-enhancing lining helps maintain a healthy, glossy coat.

The signature high-cut Wug neck with V-Front Closure relieves pressure at the withers and allows your horse to graze, move, and play without restriction. Front leg arches, a no-slip design, tail strap, and three cross surcingles work together to keep the blanket secure and correctly positioned, even during active turnout. Reflective strips increase visibility in low-light conditions, adding an extra layer of safety.

Washing instructions

  • Machine Washable at 30º
  • Ensure all Velcro is closed and clips/straps are attached prior to washing
  • Line Dry Only / Air dry only away from a heat source.
  • Do Not Bleach, Do Tumble Dry, Do Not Iron
  • We would suggest that you have your turnouts professionally cleaned.

Storage instructions

  • Once dry, fold neatly into a breathable storage bag.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from any moisture or damp areas, avoiding excessive heat and UV exposure.
  • Your turnout packaging can be used as an excellent bag for multiple purposes such as an equestrian gear bag or turnout storage for the off-season.
