The Fairfax saddles are the only saddles in the world to undergo comprehensive scientific testing using pressure mapping beneath both the saddle and the rider, combined with simultaneous two-dimensional and three-dimensional analysis of horse and rider in motion. The innovative block design incorporates a shock-absorbing element that accommodates the natural forward movement of the knee, delivering optimal support without restriction. Paired with the carefully engineered seat and block configuration, the rider’s pelvis is proven to remain neutral for longer throughout each stride, enhancing stability and communication.

Equally important, independent studies demonstrate that horses move more freely under saddle thanks to the patented Fairfax Performance Panel and the rider’s improved position.   • Handmade in Walsall, England by highly skilled Master Saddlers.
  • Wool-flocked panels are lined with a layer of Prolite® for proven pressure distribution, while still allowing for traditional re-flocking on site.
  • British wool provides superior softness and comfort for the horse. Each saddle has two flocking slots which make it easy to make quick fitting adjustments on site
  • Changeable gullet bars allow the saddle fitter to choose the width fitting that best suits the profile of the horse’s withers. The bars can be changed quickly and easily as the horse develops or changes shape.
  • Three billet configuration allows options to optimize saddle stability.
  • Patented Fairfax Performance Panel which is scientifically proven to increase limb extension, joint flexion and gait symmetry.
  • Three thicknesses of changeable shoulder blocks allow the rider to sit squarely while the horse is free to move underneath.
  • Changeable Gullet: R-Bar  N/M to XW/XXW
Materials & Care
  • Use & Care:  Apply the Rapide Leather Gel supplied with this saddle before the first use. Re-apply Leather Gel at least once a week to dry the leather. 
  • Do Not use spray soap, glycerin saddle soap or neatsfoot oil on this saddle. 
  • Always allow leather to dry naturally (do NOT use external heat sources).
  • Check regularly that all four gullet bolts and two panel screws remain tight. 
  • Never use wet tack.
Saddle Trial Policy

All saddles have the option of a 5-day trial period in order to be checked for proper fit & suitability. Please call to set up your no obligation 5-day trial.  From the day of delivery, you will have 5 days to ride in & evaluate the saddle. If you decide that the saddle does not meet your needs, you may send it back in the same condition as received.  At the time of the trial, you will be charged for shipping & insurance. At the end of the 5-day trial, if you decide to keep the saddle, you will be charged the purchase price & the sale will be considered final. 

Please notify us before the end of the 5-day trial if you plan to return the saddle.  If you decide that the saddle does not meet your needs, you will be responsible for return shipping & full value insurance.  If we do not hear from you within the 5-day period, the saddle will be considered sold & the sale will be processed. Please note that all saddle sales are final unless a trial has been arranged. 

If you need to extend the trial period, you must let us know before the original 5-day trial period is over.

All orders over $99 receive FREE SHIPPING in the continental US, excluding saddles & weighted items over 5 lbs. Additional shipping charges will apply for these items. If you need an order expedited, please call 919.851.0102 (extra charges will apply).

We want you to love your purchase, but if you don’t, it can be returned within 30 days. Returned items must be in new, unused condition & have all original packaging & tags intact.
Sale items, bits & personalized items are final sale & are ineligible for return or refunds. Shipping is nonrefundable & orders that received free shipping will have shipping costs deducted from the final refund.
